RELEASE OF URBAN SESSIONS PARIS IN THE UK
PARIS, 4th March 2005 ----
'Urban Sessions Vol. I – Paris' is, like an opulent Parisian apartment, a haven of excitement and creativity hidden behind a façade of neo-Classical restraint.
It is a work designed to knit familiar local landscapes with the cream of French talent in the electro-ambient field, the fusion being made by four skilled VJs whose flair is manifest in this cityscape collage.
The music comes from the best label sources: F Com, Blue Note, Versatile...
> Laurent Garnier > Troublemakers > I:Cube > Nova Nova > Château Flight > Ready Made FC > Scan X > Vista Le Vie >.
Aurélia Ammour, co-founder of the label French Cancan, producer and publisher of 'Urban Sessions Vol. I – Paris' says: « We wanted to thrill owners of plasma screens, home cinema equipment or sophisticated TVs. With over an hour of visual and music pleasure, you are going to re-discover Paris as you have never seen it before, seeing its architecture and monuments through an artistic lens and getting glimpses of the general atmosphere and moments of life".
The VJs (Visual Jockeys) eMovie, VJ Milosh, Rod and VJ Carlotta take the reins to choreograph the visual material to the music, mixing and synchronizing videos and beat. The DVD is composed of four Paris video sessions with 4 bonus tracks, one from each of the four VJs.
The title was launched in Paris with a spectacular display using synchronised plasma and other large screens in all store windows of Les Galeries Lafayette, Paris' equivalent of Harrods.
'Urban Sessions Vol. I – Paris' is a French Cancan product, distributed by Discovery Records Ltd. It will be available from April 25th 2005 in most good record stores.
