VJ-CONTEST The online VJ contest will start on the 20th of March 2005. The winner will be chosen through public voting on http://www.globalstage.tv The 6 european winners will be invited at the VJology festival. The vj’s can demonstrate their skills within the strong techno-electro line-up of the famous european DJ's: Ben Sims, James Ruskin, Michel de Hey, Terry Toner & Herr Arter. A specialized jury will pick the winner, who will be performing at a prominent dance-event, to start off his/her carreer with a blast! The Globalstage VJ award will also be handed out.

THE FESTIVAL The festival offers some interessting workshops (a.o. Vision Impossible, Drifter TV, Studio F&L and European vj’s), VJshows, expositions, symposia and demonstrations of new VJtools and hardware.

Technical specs: ShowReel Specifications:
send cd-rom or dvd (no tape)
accepted formats (.swf, .avi, .mov)
include a fullscreen version (dvpal, 25 fps)
include smallscreen version (240x320, 25fps, use cinepak or sorenson compression to reduce the filesize, or flash)
the compressed videoclip can be no longer than 10 minutes
start your compressed version with your VJ-name and country (please use readable fonts)

(The small version is used for the public voting contest and will be shown on Globalstage.tv) (The uncompressed, fullscreen version will be shown to our independent jury and might be used as a part of an exhibition about VJ'ing during the festival.)
